Jalette, Patrice

As a researcher and co-ordinator with the Interuniversity Research Centre on Globalization and Work (CRIMT), my research revolves around the study of labour relations in three specific contexts:

  1. multinational corporations
  2. corporate restructuring
  3. restructuring of public services

With the INTREPID research group, I have been looking at employee relations practices in the subsidiaries of multinational corporations in a dozen countries around the world.

My research also focuses on corporate restructuring and global value chains, as well as the consequences of contracting out and offshoring for manufacturing workers and unions.

My third research theme is the restructuring and privatization of provincial and municipal public services.
